It arrived yesterday and I was hoping to start using it then, but the fuel I had was a little old and not quite the correct mix. It was for my little generator. So I waited until today and got everything in order. I did assemble it then so I could get going in the morning. It came with two chisel bit chains. (The square face on the cutting edge. That is a good chain. usually a bit more expensive than the normal rounded face Oregon chain.)I added chain oil (to the oil tank) and a little oil on the tip sprocket, then the mixed gas (in the gas tank). I put in my ear plugs then.... Closed the choke (pulled out the little button that looks kind of like a golf tee.) and cranked it three times. It fired and stopped. (Normal reaction with choke closed). Opened the choke Cranked it three more times and we were off and cutting.Really it started that easy. It did need to have the idle adjusted because it is idling a bit too fast. That is what the little screw driver in the tool kit is for.I had some old brush piles that I have been waiting to get cleared out. And some stumps to cut lower so I can mow the area. It ripped through the limbs and chunks of the brush pile with ease. Still a lot left to do though. This was the test phase. (Note: You need to be very careful doing this type of cutting as the small limbs can catch the chain and cause you to loose control of the saw if you are not an experienced user.)Then I went on to lower several stumps. I removed the dirt and forest litter from around the stump so I could get it as low as possible. Set the saw in position and went to work. Melted through the wood like it was butter. Then I cut several small unwanted trees, again to allow for mowing the area. Then cut them into firewood lengths and trimmed the limbs etc to dispose of them.I have used chainsaws off and on since the late 1960s for work and personal use. This saw is so far as good as any I have used. It is a bit heavier than some but there is no lack in any aspect so far. The only thing I would think could be better is the chain adjusting screw is a bit awkward where it is. But that is the same place many other brands place it and it is a natural position for the screw type that it is. Maybe a screw with a rim around the head so the blade of the screw driver doesn't slip out of position so easily.I will add to my review if things change abnormally. So like some of the other reviews, I can say that for around $100.00 you will have a tough time finding a saw that equals this one.Update:I have had it for a couple of months and over all it is still what I would call a reliable chainsaw.I have used about 1/2 of the life of one chain. The oiler seems to be working well as you can see the spray of oil out on the ground in front of the chain as it is cutting. It came with the bar and two chains and the bar says Comprehensive Upgrade on it. I have used it hard cutting out some stumps and other things where it got into some dirt. I would say that over the years I have used other saws equally hard so to compare, this bar is a bit soft as it has formed a slight dip in the end just before the tip sprocket. It had a definite ridge of metal out each side of the bar that I have filed off now. Also the chain has a tendency to wander to one side or the other which gives a progressively curved cut which makes a longer cut difficult. The chain seems to be okay and files evenly and cuts well (if you keep it out of the dirt and rocks.)There is one somewhat annoying issue: The chain doesn't stay tight for more than the first 5 minutes. So if you don't re-tighten it and happen to get into some small limbs or similar brush, it will throw the chain and you are down for a few minutes while you reinstall the chain. I have tried tightening it a bit too tight to see if that helped. I have torqued the chain cover / adjustment plate tighter than normal. No difference. The thing just loosens no matter what.At first the saw seemed to need the idle adjusted but after running it for several days it has evened out and runs as it should. It starts easily and runs well.My thought at this point is that I need to buy a different bar that is hopefully a bit harder.Still overall, I do like it and think it is a good purchase. If they can put a better grade metal in the bar then it will be as good as many saws costing double the price.I am Happy and sad to say this is the best chainsaw I have ever purchased.Happy because it is also the midst inexpensive saw I have ever purchased and dad because that means I paid easy too much for all previous saws I have purchased. After hurricane Ian I had a significant amount of cleanup of fallen oak trees. I needed a saw in a hurry and this was the one I could get the fastest. I had very low exorcism from a saw this inexpensive, I was wrong. The power is incredible, the quality, especially the chain itself, is second to none. The only negative is that the kill switch is cheap and old fashioned and easily bumped which kills the saw when you don't mean toI used this to cut up a 50' invasive Bradford Pear that fell down, Local service quoted $600 to cut and chip, so this saw and a few sweaty hours in 85F heat made it bearable.Coming from a 16 inch chainsaw, this one seems to use much more gas mix , consumption was more than expected. Also louder than expected. Setup was OK, took more than 4 pulls but less than 8 to start first time. One of the side guard nuts fell off in the third hour from vibrations and usage, I was able to find one in my garage that fit. It paid for itself, and should work for the next few trees no problem. comes with a blade guard, some basic tools, and a mix container.i just went thru Hurricane Ian i ordered this because needed ...arrived faster than what they said ..not sure if addy was noticed where it was going ..but i thank you for the fast delivery was badly needed works greatFor the money spent it is well worth it.Put through the test I was very surprised, it starts from first pull, cut trees down and chopped them all day long with it. It paid for itself already.Money well spentChainsaw is east easy to assemble and start, its well pack and instruction are easy to follow. The chain is 18" and full chisel, pitch=.325 and gauge .063 its sturdy and works well with the 62cc engine. Over all its a great value for a single season of use, we removed several pine trees and several red oak trees from the back of the property before needing to re-sharpened the saw. The engine runs smooth and has plenty of power to run trough med logs 24" diameter. Would recommend for one season use and its economical price, chain and parts are easy to find and replace such as the clutch and pull string.Saw runs fantastic. Took several pulls after assembly but now it fires up just like the stihl does. Time will tell but for the price I’m happy.Great saw. We'll made, easy to assemble and started up on the 3rd or 4th pull. A couple of notes.. never could figure out gas bottle but that's OK because it's not really safe to use.The top handle is metal with a ribbed covering. Wish it had some padding on it. Other than that, the on off switch is a standard toggle switch, its easily knocked into the off position. Not a big deal but something you should know. Overall only have a few hours of run time on it but so far I am impressed for the price.
