I really like this can opener but it does have only faulty issue, as I’m turning the knob/handle while opening can the blades/can opener slips off the can quite often so I have to place it back on several times I’ve tried pressing harder but still it slips but it does advertise easy to use for seniors with RA or difficulty using others I think anyway I’m pretty sure it’s worded differently though so I’m not yet a senior (age 52) but my pain tingling and numbness in both of my hands make me feel like a senior sorry but this can opener actually all in all is easier to use than others just slips off the can but I can handle that issue because a lot of can openers actually have that issue. This can opener though, I think is so much better than others because it is easier to use like advertised the blade seems to be a lot sharper than others also and I like the fact that they include the peeler with it and that the can opener can also open several other things so I’d say definitely give it a try because I really think this product is well worth the money oh and it fits in my hand real well too, I’ve always had a hard time with others because of the other can openers being a little bit bigger since I have pretty small hands (ugh) it’s harder to hold onto other can openers because being bigger than this one they make my pain worse in the way I would have to hold onto/maneuver them. I think this one is easier nicer quality and shaped better than so many of them out there I also like the color (mines black) can’t remember if there’s a choice on color but I got black it looks good with the silver and looks more expensive lol ok I’m done but I urge you all to at least try it I really think most everyone will like it tooI bought this for my mom who is 83 years old. She told me she was having difficulty using her manual can opener as she had less strength in her hands than she used to. She has an electric, but sometimes she prefers to use a manual type because of the size of the can.Well, I started looking for something better for her and saw that this one was advertised as "For Seniors With Arthritis" and ordered it. She says it's easy and comfortable to use. The big, rounded contours of the handles made it easier for her to hold and turn the mechanism. This was a good purchase as it's competitively priced and made the job easier for my mom.Compared to our old unit this one is great - turns much easier (old people like us appreciate that)I’ve been searching for a can opener that I can use with my arthritis. I also wanted to find one that didn’t take the whole top off, with this can opener I got all the things I need it for myselfI bought this opener because my old one was “skipping” and would no longer open a can without a lot of aggravation. I also needed an opener for the cottage I where have been going daily. The opener works perfectly. The peeler is nice too. I have arthritis and little hand strength and it worked very well SO i bought a second one for home. The second one was assembled wrong and wouldn’t open a can. It tore holes through the lid and the side of the can. Wouldn’t turn, the gears didnt line up. It wasnt worth returning so after trying to line up the gears, I threw it away since the price is low and it couldnt be fixed. So one out of two identical products is great, the other is not!I don't have arthritis, but I found the can opener unit to be rather tight and difficult to open and close. Perhaps it will become easier after use. I haven't tried all of the other features for opening bottle caps and lids, but I'm hoping they will come in handy. I'm wondering if having so many types of openers might impede the ease of opening cans. I was pleased with the price, and with the handy included vegetable peeler. Rather than just running it under clear water, I swished it through some soapy water and quickly dried. Hoping it will work out great.I purchased this can opener in November 2021. I honestly don't cook with a whole lot of canned foods so I didn't think I needed to spend a lot on a can opener. This opener had reasonable reviews at the time that I purchased it but after several months of use - and not even a lot of cans, really - this thing barely works and is going in the trash. I had to open about 4 cans yesterday to make a batch of chili and it took about 10 mins! Putting my money into a better brand. Should have listened to the old adage "buy once, cry once".I'm not a senior but I really like this can opener. It fits my small hand really well and makes opening cans easier cuz I don't have to struggle to get the blade to puncture the can top anymore. It cuts in right away. The blade turning knob works very easy too. Comes with a soda/beer bottle opener, and a twist off bottle cap opener. Haven't used those yet but will be handy when I need them. The vegetable peeler included is very sharp, skinned my apple right quick. Would definitely recommend.JUNK I COULD NOT EVEN CLOSE THE CAN OPENER. I DO Have arthritis and it does not cut the can nor could SQEEZE it closed. I FINALLY HAD TO USE AN OLD BEER CAN OPENER TO GET THE SOUP OUT.Great product for a great price
